Yes, I thought it was an absence of predators. After bearing and nursing triplets, she looked a bit emancipated. I think she had weaned her young ones already, as the one triplet was following the stag.
Thanks Larry. The bit is supposed to cause 1-2 small wrinkles...this then indicates it is properly placed in the gap where no teeth occur. I does look like a big wrinkle, but 'Bob' seemed content.
I would think that either they are being fed or they have learned that humans keep predators away. Awesome shot.. bit of a shame about the framing but it still looks great.
