Such a sad story. Bless your husband and others like him who dedicate themselves to rescuing animals who are neglected and abused at the hands of others. Pharaoh is absolutely beautiful.

Thank you Nick and Hmellon!!

The eagle managed to snag the gull a few times, but the gull was fighting for his life...dragging a wing in the water, and for some reason that was enough tension that the eagle would have to let go. I did get some shots of it, but the distance was a bit far, and the focus wasn't quite there in my best shot. In this shot the eagles left talons are firmly embedded in the gull's chest.

Sheri, I enjoyed the interesting details about the fresh water freezing on the salt water surface and it makes for a beautiful image! Wishing you a Very Happy New Year.. and may the year bring you many more great photo ops!
