Kingfisher052, no doubt about a flash with a serious case of red eye, however, your owl is in fact a Barred Owl. The Boreal Owl is broader in the face, substantially smaller than the Barred and has yellow eyes vs. dark eyes and a pale beak. Body markings are somewhat similar.
Thanks for the feedback and comments. Leaving the lines in the original format on the church was a personal preference (I am aware of a technique to straighten in Photoshop). Thanks again - much appreciated.

I really like this shot! Like the colours. Like the lighting. What bothers me is that the vertical lines of the church are not vertical. This is caused by the vertical plane of the camera sensor and the vertical plane of the church not being parallel. The problem this causes is that you end up with a whole bunch more foreground and the church moves to the top of the frame and the top may move off the frame. There are several ways to fix this - you can back up to keep the church in the frame and then crop the shot to the image you want - you can raise the horizontal center of the camera to the horizontal center of the church (need a tall ladder) - you can purchase a Perspective Correcting Lens (a little expensive).
Thank you Nick!!
Very nice shot, Sheri! A special capture for you, I'm sure, and enjoying the time shared..
Nice composition and pose Sheri.

Great work!
Gabriel, the reason your picture is not showing up maybe due to size. It has to be smaller than 4 mb.
