Love the photo Yvan and that is a superb explanation. As an alternative, I check the histogram and zoom in to see how much of the clouds is blown out. Another alternative is to just check highlights on the preview and most cameras it will show where the highlights are blown out. Great shot and love your info!

With that camera, which only has a LCD to guide you, I was 'shooting from the hip', so to speak...blindly aiming the lens in the general direction and snapping lots of shots hoping one would turn out. Only my one hand was approaching the jelly. My feet were semi-secure on a slightly submerged boulder!
