Still a pretty awesome shot Sheri. Oh, the pros and cons of prime vs zoom lenses.

Thank you for your comments Hmellon. I'm sure your turn will come if you keep pursuing it! Then I want to see your great shots! I find it takes at least 3-4 attempts at a certain goal (sometimes more), before I start getting close to desired results. Too, it helps immensely to seek out areas where the creatures are somewhat used to people. I wasn't expecting to see deer here, but this particular doe had decided to raise her triplets on this historic site. I'm guessing, that as there are no dogs allowed, she and her young have become quite used to people. The stag, quiet a different personality, is another ball game altogether...he was still quite skittish...

Thanks Dave. A backpack is certainly on my wish list...probably the next thing I will invest in. Long gone are the foot loose and fancy free days...but good photos are worth the effort!

I agree with Dave - I like the DOF and composition ... and those eyes! Well deserved.

Nice shot with the wrong lens Sheri! I know how you feel about having the wrong lens. I now have a backpack that holds all of my equipment - that becomes quite a work-out to carry along!
