Absolutely beautiful. This picture sings! Love the contrast. I'm just learning how a little added light makes all the difference when it's done right. You've certainly nailed this one down!

Confirmed today, that this is a leafcutter bee. Should have included that info in the write-up. This bee stores the pollen on it's underside as it does not have leg pouches.

You and me both! As I live in the west, it is the western phase I occasionally see, but never when they are still, or if they are still, my camera is at home. Silly me!
