Spiders only bug me when they startle me. My father-in-law has a fairy good case of arachnophobia though. He developed it rather suddenly while on a tour of duty in the Dutch East Indies: climbing a coconut tree, and discovering a very large banana spider crawling up his boot and onto his leg! The spider is a large tarantula. He almost fell out of the tree over that one!
