    I was in my kayak, photographing a Great Blue Heron colony in Rondeau Bay earlier today, when a Great Egret joined in. It cooperated quite nicely, landing in with the Great Blues and flying about with them for a few minutes.

    These birds are huge; I saw my first one last summer. A great image, Allen and I am envious of you getting out in the Kayak. Mine are still hanging.
