Thanks for the compliments. I appreciate them. Richard, this isn't a 'true' HDR in that I didn't merge photos of differing exposure values. I took one photo and ran it through NIK software's Color Efex Pro 4's detail extractor plugin. This produces a result similar to that of a true HDR programme. I generally don't like HDR much, either, primarily because people get carried away with it.
I note this is also posted in the HDR group. If this was processed via HDR you've done an exceptional job. Very subtle and not over the top as some HDR photos can be. Very nice work.
