Glad you appreciate the tips. I am always worried that any tips I give will be taken the wrong way. I think it is what this club should be about - helping everyone to get better..... I appreciate any and all constructive criticism on all the shots I post.

Nice scene overall. In my opinion there are a few things that could help this picture. As is almost always the case, the best place to expose the shot is in the camera. Saying that, a scene like this is hard for the camera to expose - it averages the exposure of the scene overall and you end up with an uninteresting picture. I once read that you should expose for what is important to you in the scene. There are a few things to improve on that. A polarizing filter would have helped the sky and water in this shot. Photoshop has a "Burn" tool. It is used to adjust the exposure in parts of the picture - I still haven't learned how to use it properly. Most post-processing software will allow you to bring out detail in the shadows and adjust the highlights. You should try to get the best picture possible in the viewfinder to get the best final product. Again, all this is my opinion.
