    Bridge construction at the MacKenzie River the bridge is called Deh Cho Bridge and opened in 2012. This bridge is the gateway to Yellowknife, NWT. Before the bridge the MacKenzie River could only be crossed by boat, ferry and in the winter it was an ice road.
