This shot was taken on Chilko Lake in British Columbia. I was filming/photographing Bear season for a touring company. At about 530am I went out on Kayak and came across this Sow and her cub. Their attention was drawn to another Sow and cub across the water which was only about 20 yards across. The only issue was I was right in the middle of them. They starred at each other for a few minutes then both decided to move on instead of crossing the water. Shot with my Canon 5D MK IV (70mm-200mm)

James, this is a beautiful capture...very mysterious with the early morning fog. Must have been intense not knowing in that moment if the bears were going to cross over. Nicely captured.
