Snow Dance

Snow is the great simplifier. Landscapes in winter are reduced to their most basic elements, enabling the photographer to isolate a mood from a landscape and shed a glimpse into its character. These twisted poplars grow in sand and are likely far older than they appear. This photo was captured deep within the dunes system at Sandbanks Provincial Park in Prince Edward County.
