I was taking photos along the North Saskatchewan River bank, just outside Edmonton, for some time, and my attention was on the landscape on my side of the river. When I happened to glance up, I saw this coyote watching me from across the cold water. As soon as he noticed me look at him he began to head down the bank, but I had just enough time to switch lenses and get this shot of him before he was too far away!
