My first encounter with a Northern Parula, my partner and I were sitting on the Lake Erie shoreline near Harrow, ON. when she pointed out a tiny bird hopping through the tree hanging over us. Luckily I had my camera and settings ready, and even luckier that the sun had reached "golden hour" and was displaying our subjects plumage wonderfully. He stuck around just long enough for this shot before he moved on.
