After spawning salmon streams have been depleted, juvenile and mature Bald Eagles congregate at Race Rocks Ecological Reserve. The area's strong biodiversity provides plenty of feeding opportunities for the eagles, including herring, sea birds, and even the occasional Harbour Seal pup.
