You have a sharp eye for detail and a great shot Debra! There is much to see in this remarkable image that tells a story and you captured it perfectly!!
Thank you Yves. The dark upper portion is water flowing through the lock. Due to my position and time of day I actually have lens flare in the upper left corner.
Super shot Debra. I was waiting for one of your best shot since a week or two. Top third of the shot is dark with a blue stain : like it so much. Then there is that one guy that fight the turbulent water to live one more day. Then the rest of the gang that just don't want to fight. So the fish is safe and laughing at the scene. The overall composition is gorgeous

He is a large catfish - remarkable capture at just the right moment. But pelicans in Manitoba - I never knew. Thank you Debra for the lesson.
