The Dome

The dome of the Manitoba Legislative Building in Winnipeg, Canada. This is an amazing building and should definitely be on any Winnipeg itinerary, both the inside and the outside. In the summer there are free tours on the hour. It is a gigantic building because when the railway was the main shipping method Winnipeg was in the centre of the country and it was thought that it would grow to be a very big city. But with the opening of the panama canal, the growth slowed.
