There are many cardinal flowers along French river in Northern Ontario. Name refers to the brilliant red robes worn by Roman Catholic cardinals. Hummingbirds are the main polinators. This is a very Canadian scene with a red kayak as the main background, and hummingbird flying at a paddle level.
