    We took a drive in the foothills of southern Alberta. I saw this great grey owl fly away and was disappointed that I had missed it. Then we continued driving up a dirt road and I found it again. I snuck up on it and was able to get a few shots. This is the first great grey owl I have photographed in southern Alberta so it was pretty exciting for me.
