I wanted to start the New Year off with some photography so grabbed my camera and 40mm lens and decided to shoot some black and whites and a few colours at Yakan Pt, in Naikoon Park on Haida Gwaii. Yakan has a great variety of rocks, smooth and rough, large and small, round and square so I thought they would be a nice subject by themselves. The weather was great and the light kept poking out from behind some small dark clouds and lighting the rocks. It was a good day. Happy New Year to you.

It was my favourite too, Debra. The light truly shows the character in the rock.

This image is my favorite Harold. I like how the light shows off all the swirls and texture in the foreground rock.
