Showing off! The males are reddish pink and gray. The females and immatures are grayish with tints of reddish orange or yellow on the head and rump. They all have dark gray wings marked by two white wingbars.

great capture of this beauty. The attention to detail in the bird with the rest of the frame obscure holds the viewers attention

She stands out very nicely here Debra.. you captured her perfectly! I love the 'puffer' look of their chest and back feathers which seems to be unique to these particular birds, and how clearly it shows here. Great shot!

Very beautyful shot Debra. The bird nice colours stands out nicely over the dark bokeh and the contrasting white stump. Good choice to show the back of the bird whith its nice wings patern.
