After seeing and hearing screech owls throughout a local park I was near certain that one would one day roost in this tree hollow. For weeks I would check it every time I walked by, until finally one day it was there. My roommate called me excitedly to inform me that my hypothesis was correct and I hurried over to get a glimpse for myself. I took a few pictures and then left to encourage the bird continue to roosting before nightfall.
