After a 20+ km hike along the shoreline of Lake Superior, we came to rest at a backcountry site for the night. The first clear night of our backcountry hike was well worth the journey as we were able to capture the milky way just after sunset and before the moon obscured the view. It also happened to be near the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower, creating a magical scene.

Spectacular image Adrian, love it.
Very nice photo, Adrian! Foreground framing leading into a mid-ground that pulls the eye through to the background. Excellent lighting and exposure. Although the photo would have been good with just the light in the foreground, it was made better by adding the silhouette. All the hallmarks of a great image.
Well done, Adrian!! Love the composition and light.
