Great shot Clifford - I echo the comments of Harold and Debra. But a flood of memories roll in: I once crawled through one of these trying to figure out how it all worked. Threshing machines like this had a companion - the 'binder' that cut the grain and bundled it into sheaves. I spent hours operating a binder in the hot late summer sun. Farmers would gather the sheaves, one at a time, and 'stook' them into neat pyramids, heads up into the sun to dry. Stooks are now a lost art form. Note the absence of any safety guards on the machine's pulleys. Many a finger or worse lost in these contraptions. Thank you for sharing. It's a great shot full of nostalgia for some of us.

The contrast between nature and man-made objects certainly show up here, Clifford. The blue sky and snow add to that contrast. Age builds character and the wheels of time with a little bit of rust demonstrate that on this machine.
