I have heard that heron's skewer their prey, but have never been able to get a clear picture before. The poor pumpkin seed fish didn't have a chance. This fish is an invasive species to BC waters and is definitely multiplying in numbers, but the positive outcome is that they provide a massive food source for many of the local species.
