St. Andrew's Dam and Lock is located on the Red River approximately 28 kilometers north of Winnipeg and south of Lake Winnipeg. The Red River floodway rejoins the Red River just down river from the dam. The American White Pelican is a protected species in Manitoba. A beautiful capture of these amazing birds Debra. The most I've seen together here are three. I was able to get a few shots of them in flight and thought that was super exciting.. but to see groups like this must be thrilling. Super clarity in this beautiful shot too..

Great shot showing the pelicans in day to day actions. Have you waited long to get one to do a little show off? Like the compo of the 3 horizontal lines as well. You got it great.

Excellent shot, Debra and what a beautiful bird. I love the one that is showing its wings nicely composed in the centre of the group.
