Fell in love with Lighthouse Park almost the minute I stepped out of the car. You know who didn’t like it, one of my ancestors. Yep, my family actually was the first lightkeeper of Point Atkinson and his wife hated it. It was pretty isolated in 1875. How times have changed, I would give anything to live on those rock bluffs! The forest surrounding was saved in 1880 for as a dark backdrop for the lighthouse, so it’s a virgin forest right in the city.
