While taking a few pictures of the female Osprey I notice a white-tailed doe drinking water on the other side of the gravel pit. It was a bit of a stretch for this lens but I gave it a shot anyways.

This is a very nice shot. Sometimes we concentrate on the detail and forget about the background/foreground. l like the contrast between the swampy (wet) foreground and the rocky (dry) background and the deer surviving between them.
its nieces to see them doing there thing not being afraid great back grown and fore grown
I love it! So glad you chose to capture the moment.. and you captured it perfectly. Everything in the image leads naturally towards the deer and her reflection here.. the mood is very tranquil and pleasing to the senses. A great shot Debra!
I really like this scene. So serene ... also like the reflection of the deer in the water.
Great shot and I am glad you took the stretch. The doe is clear and well focused - the rest of the scene provides rich context for the eye and mind to roam - where will she and her reflection go to next? A story is born. Thank you Debra.
Very pleasant to look at Debra. Appreciate the wide view on the scene. No cropping here. Everything is needed to give that nice effect of the overall. I like the horizontal pile up effect : from the foreground, then the tall grass, and the black shadow.. The two trees in the background oppose that horizontal effect, giving a little kick to the overall. Well done.
Catching the deer drinking and in the pathway made this a great composition, Debra. It has added interest in the background.
o good one good background
