During my morning walk which often takes me through a gravel pit, I came across two Killdeer. Possibly they had a nest on the outer edges which caused them to go into protection mode and start trying to lead me away from an area.

Another great capture Harold. Most of the time gravel offers a surprising texture on a photo and it is the case here. Using the enlarge option I discovers lots of gold pebbles all around. Like the effect of the gravel that go up hill in the background. The bird is sharp and really look sad or anxious. Nice capture.

I like the contrast between the softness of the Killdeer and the rough texture of the gravel. Good focus and lighting on the Killdeer really show off her profile. Very nice Harold.
