I was trying to get a picture of a Muskrat when I noticed a White-tailed Doe make here way down to the waters edge. She stood drinking water for a few minutes before she noticed me. Between the heat and the flies I think she welcomed the walk into the water.

Great shot of this dear in the natural environment. The colours all compliment the scene and the reflection is the topping on the cake

A lovely watering hole, Debra! The tall grasses in the back help to soften the look and don't allow the eye to leave the photo out the back door. They also wrap around behind the doe pushing the eye to all the main parts of the photo; the log which keeps the eye from going out the side and points to the deer, the deer itself, the reflections of both the deer and the grasses, and the water which has all the nice floatsum if you like but is clear in the centre leading from foreground past the deer. Even the grasses poking out from the left foreground look like they're pointing towards the deer. There are so many things right with this photo that the deer is almost not the main subject.

Great job, Debra. I love the light, composition, and colours. And the reflection.

Like very much that scenery Debra. The doe look very relax and natural. She is nicely frame between the various green tones of the background and the the reflection on the foreground. The dark log on the left is good to balance the doe in the overall picture. The overall has a very zen mood.. Very well composed.

I can imagine what a relief it must be for her to have a spot like this as a retreat from the heat and flies. Lovely composition of this view, well detailed and beautifully reflected here, Debra. An excellent capture of this deer looking very relaxed in her element. Love the eye contact and mood of this image.
