This little Muskrat is proving very challenging for me to get a picture of. I put this image up because I liked the rippling of the water and the reflection of the trees down the left side.

Half the battle is knowing it's there, Debra. One quarter is persistence and one quarter luck or right place at the right time. Much like the beaver, it's hard to catch them out of the water although we know they are out of the water lots. There's a lot of interesting things in the water to look at and it's composition is very good. I agree with Yves. It's good that you caught the full body. It makes it easy to hold focus on the Muskrat.

Like it Debra. Good that you caugh it full body. Usualy we see only the head. Agree with you, the ripples make it an interesting shot. I hope you will have a chance to shoot it out of the water. Very cute and nice little fellow.

Very nice capture of the ripples and the color of the sky reflection is beautiful. You caught a good view of his face too. They move very fast in the water and are not an easy subject to photograph. You did a great job on this one Debra and I hope you get the shot you're looking for soon.
