    Flowering thistles found on the Alberta prairie. While I usually do not photography thistles, and while I was setting up for a landscape shot, this one caught my eye shimmering in the light of a new day just after a rainfall

    Thistles do take a great photo, Clifford. I like the strands that come out past the flower.
