The Athabasca Glacier on a hot August evening as viewed from the Columbia Icefield Discovery Center on the Icefield Parkway in Jasper National Park, Alberta. This glacier is one of the six principal 'toes' of the Columbia Icefield, located in the Canadian Rockies. The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest non polar icefields in the world.
