A Sharp-shinned Hawk stopped by my yard to see if he could find any Jays to chase. He spent about an hour before moving on.

They are such beautiful birds and I see quite a few of them here but they're all so flighty. The background and log set him off perfectly here and you got a very nicely detailed portrait of this beauty. Great shot, Harold.

Love this composition Harold. The hawk and tree limb have really nice lighting. The background has a bit of a mysterious appeal. Nicely captured.
