This house is believed to be 249 years old making it one of the oldest homes in PEI. Jean Doucet escaped the Acadian Expulsion in 1758 to NB and later the island of Miquelon. He returned about 1772 married and built a home in Grand Pere Point. The home was moved to Rustico for restoration in 1999. It was opened to the public in 2004.
