It is Larch Season in the Canadian Rockies. These trees are deciduous conifers whose needles turn bright yellow/orange in the fall and light up the mountains. They tend to be found higher in the mountains. In this image, captured at Chester Lake in Kananaskis, they are just at the beginning of the season
