Many groups of migrating birds have gathered at the lakes on their autumn journey southward. This little group of Canada Geese came into view at just the right time and place.

Great shot Heather. You realy got a nice dark colours of the birds. With their white V shapev on the back they are very beautyful. The little tree in the foreground is perfect to give a good perspective. Sory to say that here at the Drummond dam I have plenty of them all the summer :) :) and they are close because the Magog river is not too wide. But you did a very nice shot.

Thank you so much, Debra. It was a special moment for me to get this shot after waiting patiently for an opportunity. Most of the birds were across the lake too far out of range for a good shot. Geese are pretty flighty and elusive these days so I feel like I really lucked out on this one :)

Great focus on the Geese Heather. Love how you captured the geese just above the water with lots of room in the foreground to show their reflections. Very nice lighting and colour in this action shot.
