    Life in an east coast fishing village is simple yet complex. New meets old as the tools of the trade have advanced to include the latest in marine technology, oceanography, marine biology and many other modern sciences. At the same time the familiar and traditional tools and strategies are heavily relied on. The art of fishing thrives as knowledge of making nets, lobster traps and other essential gear is passed from generation to generation.
