Why does one tree hang onto its foliage long after all others have dropped theirs? Whether its because of ideal location to protect against the elements, nutrients within, a superior root system, or enriched soil around - there is often one tree in any given forest that seems to hang onto its leaves longer than others. One of nature's great mysteries!

Informative capture! Extra Riboflavin? The hint of what appears to be water in the background is great!
