Not so little not so big, but big enough to stand his ground with another Buck and appeal to about 10 Does in the area. No wonder there was room for another older and bigger Buck to stick around. I was not able to get a picture of the big Buck the same day but the next day he allowed me a few minutes before chasing after a Doe.

Nice compo Debra. The deer is just big enough in the frame. Interesting that its colour match the dark grey of the deep forest in the back. Like very much that the head is in the orange split line between the grasses and the deep forest with few poplars.
Very handsome buck, nicely framed by the white poplars and fallen tree. The autumn gold hues add just the right touch of colour to a beautiful portrait. Great shot, Debra.
