Natures softness has arrived in Manitoba. A winter storm started circling through Manitoba yesterday and is expected to continue through tomorrow and possibly into the weekend. These pictures were taken in Birds Hill Park this morning in separate areas of the park. Most of the deer were hiding under big spruce trees and deeper in the forest. I did happen to see this younger doe and this small spike buck eating branches from the trees. The little doe was under a large grouping of trees and was somewhat protected while she ate. The spike buck was munching on branches as he wondered down a trail.

Very nice capture of this little buck.. he stands out well against the fresh snow. We've had about the same amount of snow here too so I guess winter is setting in again.
