Mika in the winter

This is my daughter's dog Mika. She would accompany me in the bush Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. It is dangerous in some parts of the bush in Northern Ontario with so many wild animals who live within it. When I ventured into their habitat, I would always bring Mika with me as my protector and I always felt safe when she was with me. She would always go ahead of me and sometimes she would stop unexpectedly and would go no further. In that instance, I knew that she could sense an animal nearby. We would either turn around or explore another trail. Unfortunately, Mika left us this past October. I miss her company so much. This is one of my most cherished photos of her.
