A frosty faced male Pine Grosbeak who comes around each day for sunflower seeds during this cold spell that we've had since mid-December. What started out as a really small flock has increased in numbers since I started feeding them sunflower seeds.. so word gets around fast in the bird world.

Great capture of this awesome bird. They sure puff out when it is cold

Beautiful shot Heather, love the composition and the grosbeak stands out nicely against the soft white bokeh. I have noticed a few of the pine grosbeaks in the park that I walk in, however it has been so cold I have been leaving my camera at home. I think the weather is going to trend warmer by next week. ?

Very nice compo with the white background. I dream to shoot one of those nice bird around my appartment building. The only birds I see is Goldfinh or chickadee.and a flock of mourning doves that eats up all the grains within a few minutes.
