Barred owl

This owl came to our backyard and stayed for about 3 weeks. When one day while our budgie sat on the window ledge on his perch this owl flew into our window and tried to attack our little pet bird. We only saw those big wings and a big bang when he hit our window. The owl was fine, our budgie a little bit shaken but the owl never tried that again. From then on he only watched our bird from the tree where he sat in our backyard. I did see the owl catching a little squirrel though.
