Brother Bear

I was on my way back from shooting nesting barred owls when I spotted this adolescent black bear. Once I exited the car, it became clear that this bear had no fear of humans. He approached me with great curiosity, coming to close for comfort. Fortunately with my back to my vehicle I was able to stand my ground, calm and assertively, until the bear wandered off. I still wonder if that bear had been fed in the past, which would explain it's behaviour. Remember folks "a fed bear is a dead bear"
