The Franklin's Gulls are very common on the Prairies and I've always thought they were particularly photogenic birds. This fellow kept watching me as I clicked away on the dock of Crystal Lake and gave me a great pose in the process.

Lovely shot Heather. He is sitting pretty perfect in the water to show off every part of him. The water rings hold ones eye to the seagull. Very very nice.

love this shot Heather. These guys are always up for a photo and in this case you were lucky to have such a co-operative one to give you this eye shot. The reflection ruffled in the water is the crowning touch.

Agree with you Heather, the guy is a star looking bird and you've put it under the spotlight. Appreciate the dark blue surrounding and the curved line splitting the water texture from calm to waves at the head level. With the zooming option I discovers the very special eye. Well done.
