This scene, aptly named “Morant’s Curve” was made famous by CPR Photographer Nicholas Morant. It was used to promote and market the splendour and awe of the Canadian Rockies to those in Europe in the early 1900’s and to encourage tourism.

Love the composition and clarity of those stunning mountain peaks, Clifford. A vibrant and very beautiful capture of this remarkable view. Those peaks have some interesting names too.. like Devil's Thumb and Pope's Peak among others.
Wow! The iconic Morants curve done by the great Clifford Dupuis. I considers that as a very nice gift, thank you Clifford. So glad to see that scene through your eyes and emotional. No doubts, your has your way of doing it. The yellow railroad and the turqoise river is just amazing. My father worked 42 years for the CN in Richmond QC. I walked those rails to go fishing all my youth long. Souvenirs.
Fantastic composition and vivid colours Clifford. Looking at this makes me marvel at all the beauty Canada has to offer from coast to coast.
