As the sun was dipping behind the trees the loons began to fish and the bugs began to bite. This loon had just caught a small minnow, one amongst many on this eve. Even the loon was not happy with the amount of mosquitoes and no-see-ums that were aggressively attacking anything and everything. There is a lot of pollen and fluff floating in the air and on the water.

Once more you capture an unusual pose - front shot with the head slightly tilted so we see some expression of the loon. That jade green is gorgeaus. You where lucky, there is no fluff in the subject zone. Talking moskitoes - we are advised that this summer will be terrible for that and the lime disease.

What a beautiful capture Debra. I love the motion of the water surrounding the loon with his catch and the clarity of his face and expression. We're having the same problem with mosquitoes and fluff floating everywhere here too.
