Glad you had such a nice experience and opportunity to photograph the youngsters getting their wings. Great composition and colour Heather. I like the little one on the left you definitely have his attention. I have been noticing more of the Yellow-headed blackbird this summer as well. Very nicely captured Heather.

Thank you Yves, always appreciated. Yes I felt very lucky to come across this group just as the young ones were venturing out of the nest, to see how protective the parent birds were of their family and to watch them interact with one another. We don't see too many of these birds in my area so this was really special for me.

Very nice compo Heather. You are lucky to have those beautyful birds posing for you. The sparse detail foliage and branches in the foreground gives a very nice look to the photo.
